Dhokla is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It’s easy, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. They are nice and they look wonderful. Dhokla is something that I’ve loved my entire life.
To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can cook dhokla using 11 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.
The ingredients needed to make Dhokla:
- Get 1 cup besan
- Take 1 1/2 tbsp semolina
- Prepare 1/2 tsp citric acid
- Take 1 tbsp sugar
- Take 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
- Take salt to taste
- Get 1 1/2 tsp fruit salt
- Take 1 tbsp oil
- Take 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- Prepare 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
- Take 1 pinch asafoetida (hing)
Instructions to make Dhokla:
- Take besan, semolina, citric acid, sugar, ginger-green chilli paste and salt with ¾ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well till no lumps remain.
- Add the fruit salt and 1 tbsp of water over it. When the bubbles form, mix gently.
- Keep steamer ready - Grease a pan and pour batter in it - keep the pan in the steamer - Steam it fr 15-20 minutes or till it’s done - - Once Dhokla is done check with a skewer - Let it cool completely - Remove in a plate - Pour the seasoning over the Dhokla
- For seasoning - Take oil in a small pan add mustard seeds - When they splitter addgreen chillies and asafoetida - Add little sugar and 1 cup water. Let it boil.
- Once Dhokla is done check with a skewer - Let it cool completely - Remove in a plate - Pour the seasoning over the Dhokla
